Bev grew up in the Midwest. She has 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She attended Christian College in Columbia, MO. and Kansas University, majoring in journalism. She later started a weekly newspaper in Colorado in 1975 which is still being published. She started a retail business in Colorado and Arizona specializing in fine Indian jewelry and southwest designer wear. She has also written two books and produced 4 audio books of pioneer womens diaries. She is a watercolorist and an avid reader. Bev use to ski and golf.
