Get to Know Beth Larsen

I have lived in Sedona and the surrounding area since 1988, and have visited since 1968. Though there have been a lot of changes, it's still a fairly small town with a wonderfully relaxed lifestyle. I earned my license in 1999, spent nine years with Century 21, moved to RE/MAX Sedona in December 2007 and only wish I had entered the world of real estate sooner. I love that every transaction is different. I enjoy helping people get to know Sedona and the Verde Valley and meet their real estate goals here.

I believe that owning real estate is the best path most of us will ever have to financial security and even wealth, and that it is an honor and a privilege to be able to help folks in attaining these goals.

I believe that empowering my clients with the best and most complete information available results in the most satisfaction - both for them and for me, and the best outcome.

I believe in advocating for my clients, while working for "win-win" results.

A little about Sedona: Sedona is a small island of private land  surrounded by a sea of beautiful National Forest and State Lands, which is a key factor in retaining its small-town character and lifestyle. Dramatic Red Rock scenery combined with all that open space make it feel like living in a National Park. Outdoor activities such as hiking, photography, mountain biking, fishing and golf are naturally an important part of the Sedona Lifestyle. The fact that it is beautiful and enjoys a mild climate ensures that Sedona continues to draw residents and visitors from all walks of life, and from all over the country and the world. As a result, interesting people and a thriving arts community are also a big part of the Sedona Lifestyle. Sedona is very diverse, and is a strong second-home, vacation and retirement market. It's also a great place to raise a family: clean air, a sane tempo and smaller schools, with a good variety of educational models to choose from.

While Sedona is the best-known destination in the Verde Valley, there are many other communities, each with its own personality and benefits: the Village of Oak Creek (great for golfers), Cottonwood (shopping, major hospital, a bit more affordable), Clarkdale, Camp Verde (beautiful horse properties along the Verde River), Cornville (golf, active adult communities, acreage, wineries), Lake Montezuma (more rural, affordable), Rimrock and Jerome (our "ghost town", old copper-mining town, thriving arts community). These are just a few tidbits. To learn more about Sedona and the Verde Valley, please visit my website, Move2Sedona.com, or give me a call at 928-300-6986.

I specialize in second homes and vacation homes, but also deal with vacant land and investments and especially enjoy helping first-time home buyers. I serve the Sedona market including Uptown Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, West Sedona, the Red Rock Loop area, the Little Horse Park - Chapel area, the Village of Oak Creek and Big Park. I also serve the Verde Valley communities of Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Camp Verde, Cornville, Page Springs, Rimrock, Lake Montezuma and Jerome.

We have a wide variety of properties to suit many tastes here in the Verde Valley, from hilltop perches with panoramic views, to homesites with dramatic in-your-face Red Rock views, rolling high-desert acreage, cabins in the trees along Oak Creek, horse property in the Camp Verde greenbelt along the Verde River, historic miner's cottages in old-town Cottonwood, Clarkdale or Jerome, golf course condos and homes, gated communities, family homes, active adult 55+ communities, affordable starter homes and high end retreats, to name just a few!

These days like most communities around the nation, The Sedona-Verde Valley market is less impacted by short sales and foreclosures than in past years. We do still see them, just in smaller quantities, and they do still have some impact on pricing. I earned my CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert}during the downturn, and am constantly seeking out the best training and tools to help my Seller clients determine the options that are best for their circumstances. I can also help Buyers in the often challenging negotiations involved in purchasing bank-owned and short sale homes and land. There are still some excellent opportunities, even as the market is in transition.
