Get to Know BARB HOWLAND
Hi! I'm Barb Howland. I have been a Realtor for nearly 20 years. It is my profession..not just a job. I work full time orchestrating sales and purchases of resale homes, new construction, and vacant land. I am a member of the Orange County Association of Realtors and the Greater Capitol Region Association of Realtors. My license is held by two brokers, RJ Smith Realty covering the Orange, Ulster and Sullivan County region and Brenner Realty covering Saratoga County and the surrounding area. There is a 2 hour difference between the areas so I find I can work in each area without conflict. I have earned the Certified Residential Specialist degree (CRS) and a degree from the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), I am also an Associate Broker, meaning I have had a sufficient amount of transactions and education to open my own company if I wanted to. I like working where I have a network of support and encouragement. I've been told by clients that I am excellent at "putting out fires", which in the Real Estate industry are a daily happening. Putting a deal together is the easy part...the hard part is keeping it together due to the varied things that always come up before closing. Keeping it together is my speciality. Certifications
I am very patient with everyone I deal with. I understand that the first time buyers or sellers need a lot of hand holding and explaination...after all you don't do this every day so why should you know how to buy or sell? Part of my job is to walk you through the process making it as easy and as fun as possible. Buying your first home should be a wonderful experience!!
