Gernot Trolf joined Nationwide Commercial Brokers (www.NCBRealtyBaja.com ) in 2006 after a 10 year stint as COO of a publicly held financial and real estate company and a private R.E.I.T. based in San Diego and later Newport Beach, CA. due to a hostile take over.

He was living part time in Baja California when he noticed the unusual and tremendous growth of many developments along the “Gold Coast” that aroused his natural curiosity.

Meeting and talking to the developers and sales directors and agents convinced him that this beautiful stretch of coast (just minutes away from San Diego) from Tijuana to just about south of Ensenada would be the new “Cabo”. Indeed the multitude and variety of the many developments in various stages of completion from almost move-in ready to the 24 months away pre-sale intrigued him and he was able to successfully negotiate fee agreements with about 40 projects to sell them in the U.S.A., Canada and Europe. There was no advertising by the Baja developers in the U.S.A. at all and his drive and ambition combined with technology resulted in sales to buyers/investors across the States.

His prior experience in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Stockholm, Oslo, Hamburg, Melbourne and Salzburg as a general manager in four and five star hotels helped him in negotiating these agreements. He has build up a personal relationship with the developers/owners and or the sales directors and agents with all these developments.

He is an Austrian by birth and a naturalized U.S. citizen and has lived and worked here for over 40 years. He has traveled the world and lived in various countries from Australia to Sweden to Japan. He is multi lingual and feels at home almost any place and with anybody. His travels helped him to understand people and what they want and why.

Certifications

As he developed the Baja market for NCB Realty over the past several years and met and is familiar with most of the developers there he has the unique ability to find exactly what a buyer /investor seeks. He has been able to persuade developers to literally change walls in condominiums to add a bed room or enlarge the living room or add a hot tub on the terrace when it was not in the master plan. He will negotiate a price for the buyer/investor no other broker/agent can achieve. He is familiar with Mexican real estate laws and procedures and will assist with contract negotiations. he has attended mexican real estate seminars to further his understanding of them and to be able to explain them to buyer/investors. His familiarity extends to the title search and insurance companies doing business in Baja and he counts the much needed Mexican “Notario” to record a sale as well as the “Fideocomiso” granting authorities as his friends.

To complete all this he can offer the buyer /investor U.S. based as well as Mexican lenders to finance any purchase. All in all he is able to offer
