Really want to know more about me?

Here is the stuff my mother might tell you:

My working career began at a rather early age – 9. In 1974 gasoline was scarce, I sold people that waited in lines sodas and candy bars. It was like gold to me and I was hooked. When the lines disappeared I sold Krispy Kreme donuts door to door. I made enough money to buy anything I wanted. Of course, at that age what did kids want besides candy and toys. At the age of 10, I was the kid who always had money. I sold gum to everyone in school. Business and succeeding for some reason came easy to me.

In the early 1980‘s I remodeled houses for a real estate investor. I was given keys to houses all over the North Shore. Areas like Lake Forest, Winnetka and Highland Park. It was a blast for a high school kid have keys to the most expenses houses in the Chicagoland area. It was also great for the investor. He got rehabbed houses and never had to worry about them.

In 1988 I started my first company within the real-estate industry; a construction company. During this time period, I (along with some great employees) rehabilitated 100’s of properties, built new single family homes and 1 multi-unit townhouse project. In 1993 I used a medical setback as an opportunity to redirect myself from construction to the real estate and mortgage industry. Utilizing my experience in real estate and my finance degree, I began originating mortgage loans in the Chicagoland area.

After 10 successful years of originating mortgage loans, I started Ardain Mortgage Corp. Ardain grew in sales and employees every year since its beginning in 2004. Where most of the industry experienced major setbacks and layoffs in 2007, 2008 and 2009 my company experienced its greatest growth both in revenue and profitability.

In 2010 we became a mortgage bank and I started to think about a career change. I closed Ardain Mortgage Corp. in May of 2011. I feel very blessed to have worked with an amazing group of good people – both employees and clients.

My personal life is filled with my wonderful wife, Bonnie, and our 4 great kids. I identify myself first as a Christ follower who believes in the inerrancy of the Bible. I attend Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, Illinois where I lead a home small group.

My interest and hobbies still mostly relate to real estate investment and apologetics. In my spare time I visit the health club; when I can find it, that is.
