I was born in a small town in South Korea.  My father was a career military man so we moved quite a lot during my youth, throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.  I graduated from high school in Heidelberg, Germany and attended Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia for 2 years before transferring to the University of Maryland.  

As an "Army Brat" (and later Army Spouse) I have had the distinct pleasure and benefit of living in several countries and learning about different cultures.  I have changed homes more times than I can remember and know first hand all the stress and problems associated with moving.  Although I enjoyed the traveling I was ready to settle down and I can still recall my excitement when we bought our first home in the fall of 1992 (in Gloucester). However, just a few years later the Army transferred us to Kansas.  We returned to Virginia in 1997 and eventually bought a home in the Beechwood area of Newport News. 

When I'm not working, I like to attend the many festivals and events we have in the Hampton Roads area. Or check out the local bands in one of our many cozy venues. I also love to read; especially science fiction and I enjoy playing cards and other games.

Before becoming a Realtor® I worked for a number of different companies including Newport News Shipbuilding (now Northrop Grumman) and Canon Virginia, Inc. My work experiences include administrative support, accounts payable, budget and finance, ISO-9000 auditor, videoconferencing technician, I.T. tech support, software trainer and beta tester, researcher and English instructor. 

I attended Alpha College of Real Estate and obtained my license in October of 2001.  I received my ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) in 2003 and earned my Broker's license in April of 2006.  I am a trained Relocation Specialist and have been responsible for mentoring and training new agents. In 2006 I was appointed as a member of the Virginia Association of Realtors® (VAR) Professional Development and Advocacy Group. I have also served on and co-chaired several other committees to include the Technology Committee.

Real estate is a challenging and rewarding career and I truly enjoy every aspect of my chosen profession.
