It's a bit overcast today, and not quite as humid.  My fishing friend said that this was a good day for the fish to be biting.  When I asked him if it made a difference whether or not there was a drizzle he pointed out that the fish didn't care because they were already wet. 

We really enjoyed the N C Fourth of July fireworks display in Southport last night. To make it even better was our successful footrace to our cars and hitting the side streets, making it out of town, over the Intracoastal Waterway bridge, onto Oak Island then home in 20 minutes, no kidding!

The festival was kicked off with a 5K run.  Leslie Reschly came in third in her age group.  Suzanne Tulsey once again came in 1st!  Brooke Rudd was heard to say that she was glad Suzanne was bumped up to an older group this year.
