So many people seem to be curious about the people and lifestyle of Northern Michigan and more specific, the Eastern Upper Peninsula and Great Lakes region.  Yes, they call us "Yoopers".  Once a Detroit girl, I got transplanted to the U.P. as a teenager. If anyone knows Michigan, that's 300 miles...
