I had 1 REO listing last year. I worked hard (read that did many free BPO's) to get it! It was a small home, and I was paid a 2% commission. It was frustrating and not the slam dunk I was hoping for. But, I did close it, and got "graded" well at the end. I am poised and waiting for the next listi...

It is March 2nd. I put on my calendar to review my goals and "resolutions" for 2010 today. I know it seems an odd time to do it, but history has shown me that I usually need a good "kick in the pants" about now. Usually, we start out the new year with great intentions and determination. Make posi...

I just wanted to point out to anyone considering a move to AZ. that today it was 86 deg. F. Not sure how the rest of the world is doing, but I have heard rumors that it's already been the coldedst Fall in years, and is shaping up to be an even colder winter. Now is a great time to move to AZ!! I ...

I love the Fall. And, here in AZ, it is only now finally starting to feel like Fall. I enjoy all the holidays, and the fun times together with friends and family. I do try to count my blessings throughout the year, but especially as Thanksgiving approaches, I wanted to take a moment to remember a...

I wanted to come by and share my happiness at finally closing my first REO listing. It was scheduled to close last Monday, Oct. 5. Delays happened and it was extended through Thursday Oct. 8th. Thursday around 4PM the title rep calls me. I  was expecting to hear "congratulations! We just recorded...

Ok, I am a Realtor. That's evident by my posts ;). But, I am also a Mommy. I have 2 daughters, 6 and 9, and they are done school tomorrow for 2.5 weeks! One of the (many) joys of charter school here in AZ is their Fall break. It's a bit longer than the rest of the schools have and I prefer that t...

I know that REO's are a huge part of the market, and here in AZ that's especially true. I also know they'll be around for a while. So, like most of you, I wanted to get a little piece of that pie. I had heard from a successful REO agent in my brokerage that signing up and doing FREE BPO's would g...

I was shopping yesterday at my beloved Sprouts store (they call it a farmer's market, but it's basically a healthier grocery store with great produce, fresh - hormone free- meat, etc. at good prices). Anyway, as I was checking out I saw the Arizona Highways magazine (a good one to check out). Any...

I live in Gilbert AZ. It's one of the top rated cities in the US for livability, especially with a young family. I get to work here as well, as most of the Real Estate I sell is in Gilbert. It is a wonderful place to live, with great people, wonderful home values, nice parks, shopping and dining....

I heard someone comment about our HOA's in AZ as being "mafia-like". I laughed at the time, but upon further reflection, I realize it's totally true!! They have total power. While living in your home, they can fine you for not taking your trash cans in quickly enough, allowing your grass to grow ...
